Life never goes the way we plan, especially during adolescence and young adulthood. It feels like you know everything yet as time goes by, you realize there is so much more to learn.
I thought I had my life figured out at 15 but that suddenly changed after a sports related concussion altered my path.
After working with and connecting with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, I knew that I wanted a career in a helping profession. I appreciated that my team took the time to hear my concerns and work with me to find a solution specific to my needs. While my area of focus and future career goals changed a number of times throughout college, I fell in love with Psychology and chose to move forward with a career in Counseling.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, community mental health, a children’s residential treatment center, group private practice, and now running my own private practice. I have also had the opportunity to work with individuals in all stages of life. My love of working with kids began in graduate school during my time at Seattle Children’s. After a brief internship working with adults, I returned to working with adolescents and haven’t turned back since.
My therapeutic style is very person-centered. I want sessions to be beneficial for you and will cater towards your needs. Just like every human, every therapy session is unique!

What Makes me Human
-
I like to spend as much time outside as possible. You’ll usually find me running, cycling, hiking, skiing or adventuring with Stella. When I’m not outdoors, I’m baking, reading, or experimenting with photography.
-
My excitement every time I see a cute dog, my love of coffee, and my inability to keep plants alive.
-
I’ve snorkeled between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in Iceland! The water was freezing (dry suit required) but so pure you could drink it.
Canine Therapist
Stella the Golden Retriever provides comfort and support for clients in session using Canine Assisted Therapy techniques.
Outside of the office, Stella enjoys playing fetch and walks around the neighborhood. She also loves treats, belly rubs, and Pup Cups!
